Viaplay Vinter (TV6)

Upright Sounds / Kari Heino was hired to audio engineer this season’s Viaplay winter sports live broadcasts the 24th of November 2023 – 23rd of March 2024. The broadcasts consisted of the FIS Cross-Country World Cup among other events, that took place in many locations such as Canmore (Canada), Ruka & Lahti (Finland), Östersund & Falun (Sweden), Trondheim (Norway), Oberhof (Germany), Davos (Switzerland), and Toblach & Val di Fiemme (Italy).

This was an exceptionally beautiful and exciting project to work on, with many world class athletes and medalists from both Sweden and Finland!

Women’s Handball World Championship 2023 (TV6)

Upright Sounds / Kari Heino remotely audio engineered (mixed) the Viaplay and TV6 onsite studio broadcasts of the 2023 Women’s Handball World Championship from Viaplay Studios’ control room 1 in Stockholm, equipped with a Lawo MC56 Mark 3 audio mixer, during the 1st – 17th of December.

The host, experts, reporters and commentators were onsite at the arena in Gothenburg, Sweden for the group stages, and later at the second arena in Herning, Denmark for the finals. A successful set of broadcasts and a wonderful tournament to witness!

Mästarnas Mästare (SVT)

Upright Sounds / Kari Heino was on location in Båstad/Bjärehalvön, Sweden the 31st of August to 27th of September 2020 recording the coming season of the Swedish athletes’ reality show “Mästarnas Mästare”. The show has otherwise been recorded abroad in locations like Greece, but this year’s production was set in the stunning southwest coast of Sweden due to travel restrictions. But nevertheless, the whole production, the weather, location and result exceeded the expectations by far. The show will be airing on SVT in March 2021.
